Water main replacement projects are important to maintain water quality and uninterrupted service. Check to see if your neighborhood is affected–view planned projects, statuses, and other related information here.
PWD launched a major project to replace nearly all 55,000 water meters across the service area with the latest technology in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). Installations begin in October 2025 and will continue over the next three years.
The Portland Water District is updating its Cross Connection Control Program (CCCP), and will begin using the VEPO CrossConnex platform to administer backflow device inspections starting March 1, 2026. For more information:
